Nick Richards
Vice President, Pre-Sales Operations
In his role as V.P. of Pre-Sales Operations, Nick manages and oversees Perceptive’s Marketing and Product Management organizations, ensuring that each product grows, maintains a competitive edge and continues to meet the evolving needs of customers. He plays a critical role in Perceptive’s overall business strategy as it relates to product development and positioning of the company.
At ClinPhone, now part of Perceptive Informatics, Nick served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. Prior to joining ClinPhone, Nick was a co-founder of DataLabs, a leading developer of software applications for clinical development in the biopharmaceutical industry. At DataLabs, Nick served as Chief Operating Officer from January 2005 and previously as its V.P. of Product Development.
Nick’s previous experience includes serving as Director of Emerging Products for Homestore, Inc. the leading provider of online technology solutions to the real estate industry. At Homestore, he was responsible for select cross-vertical product lines including integration of products and services acquired through acquisitions. Prior to Homestore, Nick was one of the original founders of NRGSource, a custom software development company, which was subsequently merged up-and-into DataLabs. NRGSource also spun off CommunityPath, which he co-founded and for which he served as Vice President of Product and Technology Development. Prior to that, Nick held various product management positions at Kinko’s Inc. and Moore Corporation.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communications with a minor in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obisbo.
