Todd A. Joron, MBA
General Manager

Todd Joron has 20 years of experience within international companies specializing in the design, development and implementation of informatics' solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Mr. Joron joins PAREXEL from Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA), where he was Vice President and Scientific Director of the Life Sciences Division, and he is the former Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TissueInformatics Inc, a medical image analysis software company. Mr. Joron is the former President and CEO of BiblioMondo, an international technology company, and is the former General Manager of the Scientific Software Division within MDS Pharma Services (formerly Phoenix International Life Sciences), a multinational contract research organization. Todd holds a degree in health sciences and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).

Sina Adibi
Vice President, Software Development and Chief Technology Officer

Sina Adibi is Vice President of Software Development and Chief Technology Officer at Perceptive Informatics, Inc. and leads a global software development team. In addition to driving strategic direction for product planning and architecture, Mr. Adibi is responsible for all facets of software development, including technology selection, implementation, resource planning and post-launch support of Perceptive's eClinical offerings and advanced technology platforms, including medical imaging, interactive voice response systems (IVRS) and clinical trial management systems (CTMS). Mr. Adibi's focus is to contribute to Perceptive’s innovation in delivering products and services that help clients bring increased efficiencies to the management of clinical trials.

Mr. Adibi has more than 20 years of global technology experience in software development and has successfully managed several large scale technology acquisitions and implementations. Prior to joining PAREXEL, Mr. Adibi was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology officer of Thomson Scientific, a division of Thomson Corporation, where he helped create a world-class software development group and increased product quality and development throughput. During his tenure at Thomson Scientific he helped design, develop and launch many of its desktop and web products.

Mr. Adibi has authored several articles on the subjects of electronic libraries and electronic information dissemination as well as network and business resumption planning. He holds a Bachelors degree and Master of Arts degree from Temple University's Fox School of Business. He also attended Haileybury and Imperial Service College in the UK.

Jeremy Edwards
Vice President, Business Development

Jeremy Edwards brings a long career of senior management experience within the CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries, spanning the clinical development pipeline from Phase I to Phase IV. Mr. Edwards brings a unique talent of developing long-term, strategic alliances, and is responsible for positioning the company as the eClinical solution for decreasing time to market. He is guiding Perceptive’s effort to expand market share and secure growth through the implementation of global sales strategies, international sales force, and strategic, customer-focused relationships.

Before joining Perceptive, Jeremy Edwards held sales and leadership positions with large CROs including Kendle, PPD, and most recently served as the Director of Business Development for the Americas with i3 Statprobe. Jeremy Edwards holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing from Oklahoma Christian University.

Mark A. Goldberg, M.D.
President

Mark A. Goldberg, M.D. is President and was involved in founding Perceptive Informatics, Inc., PAREXEL International's information technology subsidiary. Perceptive Informatics was established in 2000 to deliver proven technology solutions that improve the development and commercialization processes for the bio/pharmaceutical industry. The company offers a portfolio of solutions that include Clinical Trial Management Systems (with IMPACT as its industry-leading, flagship product), Medical Imaging, Interactive Voice Response Systems (IVRS), and information technology services. Dr. Goldberg joined PAREXEL in 1997, establishing the company's medical imaging group - seeking to leverage imaging data as a surrogate endpoint in evaluating the safety and efficacy of new products. Dr. Goldberg serves on PAREXEL's Business Review Committee, Executive Committee, and Information Systems Steering Committee.

Prior to joining PAREXEL, Dr. Goldberg served as President and Director, and helped to found WorldCare, Inc. - a telehealth spin-off from Massachusetts General Hospital established in 1991. He is an internationally recognized leader in telemedicine - the combination of communications technologies with medical services to deliver health care over distance. Dr. Goldberg served as President (1998-2000) and Director of the American Telemedicine Association, and was founding Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed Telemedicine Journal.

Dr. Goldberg received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received his M.D. degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Goldberg was a staff radiologist at MGH and maintains an appointment as Consultant in Radiology.

Edward J. Hogan, Jr., M.S.
Vice President of Operations, Medical Imaging

Ed Hogan joined Perceptive’s Medical Imaging group in 2001, and has been involved in clinical research since 1992. Ed Hogan has extensive experience in Imaging Operations, as well as providing operational input to global product development, in addition to assisting with the coordination of imaging submissions to regulatory agencies.

Prior responsibilities include providing operational oversight for the Imaging Application Development and Validation groups. Prior to joining Perceptive, Ed Hogan was a Senior Medical Imaging Scientist in the Medical Imaging Division at DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company. While working at DuPont for nine years Ed Hogan coordinated the imaging aspects of clinical trials including overseeing both internal and external core imaging laboratories.

Mr. Hogan has an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Electro-Optics Technology Center at Tufts University in 1993, and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lowell.

Richard Peter Jacobs, M.D., M.H.A.
Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Jacobs is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Medical Imaging, Perceptive Informatics. He is responsible for the medical imaging component of worldwide clinical trials in research of oncology, hematology, neurology, cardiology, osteoporosis, diagnostic agents and medical devices. He advises several of the world's largest pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies on the use of imaging to determine the effectiveness and safety of their products.

Prior to joining Perceptive, Dr. Jacobs served as Chairman of the Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at Memorial Health Care for six years from 1993 to 1998.

Dr. Jacobs is an American Board Certified radiologist with 21 years of clinical radiology experience in all forms of diagnostic imaging as well as minimally invasive interventions.

He has chaired or lectured at conferences throughout the United States, Europe and Asia at conferences on the impact of medical imaging in clinical trials.

George Q. Mills, M.D.
Vice President, Medical Imaging Consulting

George Q. Mills, M.D., is Vice President, Medical Imaging Consulting for Perceptive Informatics, a PAREXEL Company. He advises bio/pharmaceutical clients on how to use medical imaging for strategic decision making and in support of regulatory submissions for their products. Dr. Mills formerly served as Division Director of Medical Imaging and Hematology Products in the Office of Oncology Drug Products, part of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). In his recent position as Division Director at the FDA, Dr. Mills was responsible for the review and approval of diagnostic and radiolabeled therapeutic drugs and biologics. He managed a staff involved in the review of the Radioactive Drug Research Committee (RDRC) program, therapeutic and imaging Investigational New Drug Applications (INDs), Biologic License Applications (BLAs) and New Drug Applications (NDAs). He was also actively involved with the FDA's Critical Path Initiative since its inception in 2004. Previously, Dr. Mills held several senior roles at the FDA, including Branch Chief and designated Acting Deputy Division Director of the Biologics Oncology Division at the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) and CDER. In these roles, he served as Medical Chief, providing expertise in medical diagnostic imaging and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical oncologic biologics and drugs. He also served as the CBER/CDER expert in conjunction with the review of radiographic imaging submissions in support of licensure submissions. He has been certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Pathology, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Mills holds a Medical Degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, a Masters in Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska.

Kurt J. Norris
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Kurt joined Perceptive in March 2001 and brings over 15 years of diversified financial management experience to the company. He is responsible for guiding the company's financial strategy and implementing the business processes, controls and policies to support the successful growth of the company. During his career, he has been involved with more than $1.5 billion in corporate financings, including private equity offerings, senior and subordinated debt, off-balance transactions, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Perceptive, Kurt served as Vice President of Finance for PrimeCare International, Inc., a leading management services company focused on the development of vertically integrated healthcare networks. During his tenure with PrimeCare, Kurt co-lead a $105 million corporate recapitalization, re-engineered the company's short and long-term planning processes, supported the divestiture of under performing businesses and executed strategies which lead to a $20 million improvement in annual operating profits.

Prior to joining PrimeCare, Kurt served as Director of Finance for Caremark International's Physician Services business. While with Caremark, Kurt helped build the financial infrastructure, controls and processes that supported the business as it grew from $136 million to $1 billion in less than 3 years. In addition, he was responsible for the financial analysis, due diligence and valuation aspects of the company's merger and acquisition activities as well as the financial integration of all acquired businesses.

Earlier, Kurt spent 7-years in the financial services industry. He held several corporate lending positions with Whirlpool Financial Corporation, Chase Manhattan Bank and Mellon Financial Services Corporation. During this time, Kurt worked with middle market companies to structure financing packages for leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, recapitalizations and refinancing transactions.

Kurt earned his MBA from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Winona State University.

Wade Wirta
Vice President, eClinical Services

Wade has extensive experience in Clinical IVRS, supply chain management as well as the development of global, enterprise-wide IVRS software solutions supporting clinical trial execution and supply chain management.
Prior to joining Perceptive, Wade’s most recent role was Director of Pfizer's Supply Chain Informatics group, where he managed a large team developing supply chain management solutions for all drug development phases.  While at Pfizer, Wade led the development and implementation of a complete IVRS and IWRS software solution. Wade has extensive experience in IVRS integrated protocol administration systems; automated re-supply algorithms; adaptive randomization; clinical reporting and tracking systems, clinical trial management systems, metrics and data warehouse development and portals.

Wade received Pfizer’s Research & Development highest individual award as a result of his work in these areas. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maine at Orono, and a certification in Project Management from the British Computing Society.
