Perceptive, LLC (formerly Invicro, LLC) is a clinical research group based in New Haven, CT. We specialise in neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Multiple System Atrophy, and Frontotemporal Dementia.
We are committed to advancing treatment options, diagnostic tools, and basic understanding of neurological diseases through groundbreaking research. Led by Dr. David Russell, our team of highly skilled medical doctors, research nurses and coordinators, and imaging technicians is dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

David Russell has anchored the clinical research program at our New Haven Research Clinic since joining in 2007, and serves as Senior Medical Director for Perceptive (formerly named Invicro). Dr. Russell is a Neurologist with a specialty in neurodegenerative diseases, including movement disorders like Parkinson’s Diseases and dementia illnesses, such as Alzheimer’s Disease. In addition to helping push forward research against these terrible diseases (he has over 100 publications in peer-reviewed research journals), he also believes in sharing his wealth of clinical experience with area physicians, patient support and advocacy groups, research-sponsoring pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and in our New Haven Clinic.
He has become a sought-after expert in clinical trial design, biomarker development, the utilisation of PET imaging to drive therapeutic development, and recruitment strategies. He has served and continues to serve as the Principal Investigator on numerous clinical trials from Phase 1 through 4, both for neurological diseases and also for non-neurological diseases, where Perceptive’s expertise and capabilities can assist in driving development in those disease areas. He is proud of having served an important role from the early phase through the late phase clinical trials for many of the ground-breaking therapies and hopeful therapies in trials or clinical practice today.
He obtained both his medical degree and a PhD in molecular biology from Cornell University and the Sloan-Kettering Institute. He performed his residency at Yale, where he served as Chief Resident of Neurology. He then joined the full-time faculty at the Yale School of Medicine, and now continues as Voluntary Faculty there. In addition to being the clinical medical lead in New Haven, he is a member of numerous national and international scientific and professional societies and serves as a scientific expert within Perceptive.
Dr. Knorr is an experienced neurologist who works closely with the participants in our research to ensure the safe conduct of our studies. She has long-standing roots in New Haven, as she did her medical school and residency training in Neurology at Yale. She also holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Yale with a focus on dopamine biosynthesis. She brings over 25 years of clinical experience as a neurologist and has participated as a sub-investigator in over 50 clinical trials, including single-site imaging studies through phase three multi-centre treatment trials. She is committed to advancing progress for cures in Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.
The newest physician to join the Perceptive New Haven Clinic, Kevin Carr, is a seasoned Internal Medicine physician serving in leadership roles and has an extensive background in outpatient and inpatient medicine. He has experience with basic research at the bench, as well as attending law school. A decorated Marine Recon combat veteran, he received his Medical Degree from the prestigious University of Chicago and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine-Primary Care at Yale University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children, loves listening to podcasts, and shares our passion of improving lives through science. We welcome this talented and accomplished doctor to the team!
Meghan brings 17 years of diverse experience in clinical research, healthcare, and project management to her role as Senior Director, Clinic Operations. Most recently, she served as Chief Project Manager for a global engineering company within their NEMA Enclosed Global Products Group. Meghan’s career spans various project management and clinical research roles with the organisation, as well as her early work as a registered nurse on a cardiac floor at Hartford Hospital.
She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Quinnipiac University.
In her current role, Meghan oversees the operational aspects of research studies conducted in the Clinic and leads the Clinical Team and Translational Research Project Managers, fostering collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external clients to ensure seamless operations and successful outcomes.

Working directly with study participants and their families, we create a supportive environment that balances scientific progress with compassionate care.
