Radiomics-Based Cyst Characterization in Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease
Radiomics-Based Cyst Characterization in Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease
This poster explores the potential of cyst-level radiomics to identify imaging biomarkers of disease progression in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Using MRI data from the CRISP study, the researchers found that a baseline wavelet-derived texture feature was significantly associated with subsequent total kidney volume (TKV) progression, suggesting that quantitative cyst characteristics may provide prognostic information beyond cyst size alone.
Why download this poster?
- Explore how radiomics can reveal cyst characteristics that may not be perceptible through conventional visual assessment of MRI.
- See the relationship between baseline cyst texture and future TKV progression, including the wavelet texture feature that showed the strongest separation between high- and low-growth groups.
- Learn why cyst-level radiomics may hold promise as a prognostic biomarker for ADPKD and warrant further validation in larger, multicenter cohorts.
